Seattle Knee Pain Center

Knee pain is very common and can be the result of age, weight, injury, overusing or improper form during physical activities.

Osteoarthritis of the knee is another common form of pain which can lead to disability in older adults. This disease is caused by the lack of lubrication in the joints, which causes the bones to rub against one another. This can cause extreme pain and irritation. Cartilage is a rubber-like tissue that protects the ends of bones, and when it slowly deteriorates, it causes joint fluid to lose its ‘shock absorbing’ qualities and bones can start to rub against one another. This is caused by a lack of Hyaluronan and Synovial Membrane fluid which lubricates the joints.

Knee pain of any kind doesn’t have to become a way of life. For more information on how our treatment options at Seattle Knee Pain Center can help you, call us for a FREE consultation at 206-274-0799!
