Stephen Kennedy MD FRCSC

Dr. Kennedy is a Hand, Wrist, and Elbow surgeon at UW Medicine. He sees patients at UW Medical Center, UW Northwest, and Harborview Medical Center.

Dr. Kennedy is a Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon with subspecialty training in both Hand & Microvascular Surgery and Upper Extremity Sports Medicine and Reconstruction. He provides treatment options for problems of the entire upper extremity, including all forms of instability, trauma, deformity, and arthritis. He has a particular interest in problems of the hand, wrist and elbow. Surgically, he performs open, arthroscopic, and microsurgical techniques.

It's amazing how well these finger prostheses can match the appearance of other normal fingers. This is a common request for my patients early on in their recovery. Often, however, these prostheses end up sitting in a drawer for more formal occasions because they lack the sensation that people want when they're reaching into a pocket for something or manipulating small objects.
